Crickets, Critters and Cocktails”, a Summer Fundraiser to Benefit Mass Audubon’s Berkshire Sanctuaries

Mass Audubon invites you to join us for "Crickets, Critters and Cocktails," a summer fundraising event to be held on July 30th at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary,472 West Mountain Rd. in Lenox, MA. 


The informal cocktail party, festooned with critters, creatures, and kites from Barong Imports is one summer party not to miss.


Guests will enjoy chilled, critter-inspired cocktails from an open bar from 6:30 to 9:30 sponsored by Nejaime’s Wine Cellar, Berkshire Mountain Distillers, and Pittsfield Brew Works.


"Crickets, Critters and Cocktails " will feature a silent auction, and jazz by Lurid Details.

The evening will culiminate with s'mores around a bonfire where we'll be joined by special guest and master drummer Otha Day who will lead a campfire drum-a-long!

 

The event is co-chaired by Al Bauman and Mary Garnish of Pittsfield. Major event sponsors include CompuWorks, Interprint, Studio Two, Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, Courtney and Mike Addy, and Dennis Arseneau.

Dedicated to preserving the environment and its native inhabitants, the Berkshire Sanctuaries educate both young and old through diversified programs at Pleasant Valley and Canoe Meadows and through community and school outreach programs. Located on the eastern flank of Lenox Mountain in the Center of Berkshire County, Pleasant Valley is one of the oldest, largest and most mountainous of the Mass. Audubon’s sanctuaries and hosts more than 20,000 visitors throughout the year.

 

From its first acquisition in 1929, the sanctuary has grown more than fourfold and now spans some 1,300 acres of Berkshire uplands, old fields and several beaver swamps. Its mountainous terrain and woodlands cradle the Yokun Brook Valley, complete with an extensive network of beaver ponds and associated wetlands.
